14.30.hrs      Recording and transferring images for referral – teledermatology

Programme Day Two

 

 

By the end of day 1, delegates should:

·       Be confident in the use a dermatocsope for assessing skin lesions

·       Have increased knowledge in recognising and diagnosing benign skin lesions

·       Know when to refer a patient with a skin lesion and how to use teledermatology

9.30hrs        Using a dermatoscope and image transfer – revision and trouble shooting

10.00hrs       Interpreting malignant dermoscopic structures  – what would make you worry?

10.30hrs      COFFEE

10.45hrs       Pre-malignant lesions:

11.15hrs       Squamous cell carcinoma,Basal cell carcinoma and Melanoma

12.00hrs       Break

13.00hrs     Special sites, nails, scalp and

14.30hrs      Top tips to avoid missing melanoma

14.45hrs      Which lesions should be referred (for excision and histology)?

15.15hrs        Patient awareness, self examination and sun safety

By the end of 2nd day, delegates should:
