VIRTUAL – COVID-19 Recovery & Rehabilitation for AHPs – February 2021

BTH in partnership with HEE are offering a unique fully funded training opportunity to immerse Allied Health Professionals in a one-day virtual interactive e-learning training resource package

  • AHPs will increase their knowledge of the novel COVID-19 virus
  • They will be guided through the interactive resource covering the four main areas: Breathlessness, Cough, fatigue and Exercise
  • In addition, the emerging topic of Long COVID will be discussed and emerging data critically reviewed and discussed in practical management options.
  • Learning will include group and scenario based case studies.
  • AHP’s will develop their knowledge and be able to develop strategies and techniques to recognise, problem solve and implement a range of management techniques in their workplace setting

    Expression of Interest

  • The following criteria will be used for selection:

    • Demonstration of commitment to the ICS strategic objectives and AHP workforce development
    • Support from your practice/ employer/organisation/partnership
    • The content of the EOI application
    • Inclusion criteria
      • Eligibility criteria
      • Applications will need brief statement (approximately 500 words) of current and previous MSK experience, aspirations, learning objectives and identify onward educational training needs identified. All need to have completed or started the MSK Competency for primary care on e-learning for health and all need to identify where they currently work.
      • Tier 1 Existing FCPs and in recruitment process FCPs
      • In MSK FCP Development posts
      • Minimum 5 years specific MSK Clinically
      • Tier 2 Interested in development posts
      • Minimum 5 years specific MSK Clinically
      • Tier 3 Fragility clinicians – recognised AHPs with a specialist interest in MSK for longer than 5 years (decided on by the steering group)
      • All candidates will be expected to participate in a pre, post and 6/12 questionnaire

  • **Please note the application is a vital part of our selection process, please make every effort to complete fully and with consideration.

    Selection will be carried out by a steering group of representatives from across each of the ICS and HEE in 2020.


  • IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS

    In order for your application to be approved you are expected to:

    • Commit to all the elements of the MSK FCP programme
    • Completing short progress reports and a final overall report on the programme of choice.

    If your application is successful HEE will link with your employer.

    Places will be offered formally in early April 2021
